Subsea Life of Field Asset Principal

This position will have direct responsibility for a variety of hardware and software solutions across all life cycle stages. As an active partner, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality products that meet business requirements based on defined outcomes. You will align horizontally to larger product teams to drive accountability for broad company objectives that support the transformation of the services business.

This Role requires a sharp, Technical leader with the ability to drive innovation and accelerate change.

 


Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with business team to creatively identify / evaluate / implement / improve technologies and processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions utilizing Lean and Agile principles
  • Lead the development of winnable strategies that creatively use resources to anticipate and solve problems, resulting in innovative solutions for the business using alternatives beyond the obvious
  • Prepare long-range plans and assure that they are aligned with business goals and objectives
  • Drive the evolution of Life of field services by igniting new product and service offering to accelerate the breath of services on offer for brownfield controls to life of field customers.
  • Meet objectives by influencing and engaging across multiple teams with proven ability to deliver in a global team environment with members working remotely in various time zones
  • Provide indirect team leadership of employees including the ability to select, evaluate, deliver feedback, develop and assign employees
  • Oversee the strategic direction of obsolescence planning, patching compliance, and asset maintenance management
  • Develop Strategic LOF management plans in collaboration with customers carefully evaluating and reviewing changing dynamic drives over time.
  • Coach technical support staff, to grow their competencies for delivering a first class service in customer support.
  • Chair and drive, the resolution to critical technical challenges experienced in the field.
  • Engage customers globally and be the technical relationship owner for all brownfield life of field matters within the technical domain for subsea control system services.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and promote their use
  • Lead in the evaluation / implementation of third party solutions to create a competitive advantage and delivery customer outcomes.
  • Experience of working with our key clients, authorities and major contractors, and have an understanding or their internal organization and processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). A minimum 8 years of professional experience.
  • Intimate knowledge of subsea production systems, Life of Field activities and Risks.
  • Demonstrable experience of coaching others to gain competence

  • experience of planning, executing and evaluating LOF activities for SPS assets.
  • participate in industry standard shaping and cross industry bodies.
